Sunday school is offered to all youth grades pre-school-6th grade. Sunday school has been put on hold since restrictions were imposed due to COVID. We hope to begin Sunday School again in September of 2021.  The goal of our education programming is share God's grace and teach our youth the to grow with God, through God, and for God.  Besides traditional teaching, our youth often practice singing and playing youth bells.  Our Sunday School periodically performs during worship services by playing the bells, singing and the annual Christmas Program.

Confirmation classes are offered to youth in 6th-10th grade.  Shepherd of the Hills has a two year program in which youth expand their knowledge of God and the Lutheran Faith, preparing them to sit at God's table.  Classes are held regularly throughout the year and the confirmation ceremony takes place in May of the second year. The reason there is such a wide age group of participants is because we try to not have single member classes.

Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church typically coordinates an annual Bible School during the summer months when Sunday School is not in session.   The program is unique each year and full of energy and excitement.  Notices are normally posted in the church and sent to Sunday School families prior to commencement.  All youth are welcome grades Pre-school through 6th grade and there is no requirement to be a member of the church.  Sunday Schoolers are encouraged to bring friends! If we do not offer VBS, we promote our sister congregations VBS programs and will reimburse our members for their children to attend.
